The first NFT (non-fungible token) project by Gemini and Nifty Gateway. It is a collection of 10,214 PFP (profile picture) NFTs generated from combinations of artistically drawn traits by the artist, Lambo. The collection includes 4 people representing the founders of both Gemini and Nifty Gateway, 12 legendary, 48 special and 150 galaxy astronauts. The remaining traits are dispersed among the crew, creating a variety of rare and unique combinations to explore and collect.

Most Awkward Astronauts were originally distributed through a sweepstakes by Gemini. An estimated 35K people entered and were randomly selected. The 150 Galaxy background astronauts were reserved and each awarded to the top 150 participants in the Second Summer Slam event on Nifty Gateway who held the Key To Life Returns NFT. The astros are on a mission to bravely go where no one has gone before, from the world of Decentralized Finance (DeFi), to the outer reaches of the metaverse.
